Rust, Dirty Down, 25ml
Highly matte paint creating a rust effect, simulating atmospheric oxidation of aging metals. Water-soluble for easy toning effects to achieve excellent results.
The dark-colored liquid dries to a strong matte rust color in 1 to 5 minutes depending on temperature. Apply rust paint with a brush or airbrush/sprayer. Rust effect paint looks best when applied over rough, textured surfaces.
Usage Instructions:
- The paint bottle and surface to be painted should be at room temperature or higher before use. Color may not develop if the bottle and/or surface are very cold.
- The mixture settles at the bottom of the bottle. It is very important to shake the bottle thoroughly before each use until the ball inside is heard. Mix well and ensure solids at the bottom are fully mixed with the liquid. Repeat mixing and shaking until lumps disappear.
- Use paint straight from the bottle. Do not leave the bottle open.
- Do not add water to the paint container – it may prevent color formation.
- Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and degreased. Test paint on hidden surfaces to ensure compatibility and adhesion.
- Apply only on non-porous surfaces such as plastic and metal. Do not apply on porous/absorbent surfaces such as raw wood or paper. Paint can be applied on painted surfaces but test first. If effect doesn't appear, try coating the surface with varnish first.
- Paint is water-soluble and painting effects will be lost after washing or soaking, but stains may remain. Do not expose paint to rain or water splashes.
- Paint looks best on rough surfaces.
- To fill dents and grooves, first cover the surface with paint, then wipe paint from raised areas with a damp cloth (at an angle to grooves), leaving some paint trapped. The wetter the cloth, the more paint removed.
- After complete drying, paint can be hardened by spraying varnish.
- After drying, avoid scratches/scuffs on the finished varnish.
