Rust, Dirty Down, 250 ml
Highly matte paint that creates a rust effect, simulating atmospheric oxidation of aging metals. Water-soluble for easy toning effects to achieve a perfect result.
The dark-colored liquid dries to a strongly matte rust color within 1 to 5 minutes depending on temperature. Apply the rust paint with a brush or airbrush/sprayer. Rust effect paint looks best when applied to rough, textured surfaces.
Usage instructions:
- The paint bottle and the surface to be painted should be at room temperature or higher before use. The color may not develop if the bottle and/or surface are very cold.
- The mixture settles at the bottom of the bottle. It is very important to shake the bottle thoroughly before each use until you hear the ball inside. Mix well and ensure that the solids at the bottom of the bottle are fully mixed with the liquid. Repeat mixing and shaking until all lumps disappear.
- Use the paint straight from the bottle. Do not leave the bottle open.
- Do not add water to the paint container – this may prevent the color from forming.
- Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and degreased. Test the paint on hidden surfaces before use to ensure compatibility and adhesion.
- Apply only to non-porous surfaces such as plastic and metal. Do not apply to porous/absorbent surfaces like raw wood or paper. The paint can be applied on painted surfaces, but test first. If the effect does not appear, try coating the surface with varnish first.
- The paint is water-soluble and painting effects will be lost after washing with water or soaking, but stains may remain. Do not expose the paint to rain or water splashes.
- The paint looks best when applied on rough surfaces.
- To fill dents and grooves on the surface, first cover the surface with paint, then wipe paint from raised areas with a damp cloth (at an angle to the grooves), leaving some paint trapped inside. The wetter the cloth, the more paint is removed.
- Once fully dry, the paint can be hardened by spraying a varnish coat.
- After drying, avoid scratching/scuffing the varnished finish.
