Japanese “Assault-frame” armor is based on previous “battle-frames” in response to the demand for modified armor specifically adapted for close combat. “Assault-frame” squads are armed with weapons designed for close quarters combat, including a submachine gun and melee blade forged from hardened Rift Science material, which soldiers proudly master to a fearsome level of skill. These soldiers are deadly in close combat, providing the Japanese forces with desperately needed melee strength.
